Fusion Festival When You Fell Off 'Some like it Coconut' & 'Shades of Grey' SHADES OF GREY Shades of Grey follows the story of six young girls aged between six and nine, who come together to play, tell their stories and imagine a better world. This devised performance explores the deep bond these girls share and the stories they concoct to protect one another from the grim realities of the world. SOME LIKE IT COCONUT After the mysterious shipwreck of an ocean cruise liner, three strangers are washed ashore onto a deserted island. In order to survive this tropical wasteland they must work together and start planning ways to not only live on the island, but to potentially leave the island. However their attempts to escape their sandy prison become somewhat sidetracked after they decide to drink the seawater. Over the ensuing weeks they slowly begin to lose their minds and hilarity ensues. In fact, so recently that his "intimate gathering of close friends and acquaintances" don't quite know what to do with him, and what's worse, his party's an absolute fizzer. Still, one mustn't let a little thing like death get in the way of a good time... Like, Dead is a darkly surreal comedy with the works: "Music! Glitz! Glamour!... Streamers!" and everything in between. Throw in a dead cat, an 80s revival dance sequence and a healthy dose of cannibalism, and get ready for one of the strangest parties you will ever attend. With a heady mix of humour laced with pathos, Like, Dead explores concepts of image, sex, race and identity within the most death-defying culture of them all - youth. What does it mean to be immortal? To be Australian? To be alive? Date - 1st - 5th September at 7pm and 5th September at 2pm.
